Mohammed
Faour.
I'm a product engineer with 6 years on backend and serverless systems. At FINN I own the platform behind vehicle deliveries and logistics end to end, from spec to production. AI agents help me build it, and I plan, orchestrate and review everything they ship.
Psst: move your mouse around up here, and click to file a ticket for the agents.
I build the systems that move things.
I'm a product engineer with a backend core: TypeScript, Node.js and event-driven, serverless systems on AWS. On FINN's Move team I own the platform for capacity planning, moves between sites, relocations and driver coordination, end to end: from the problem and the spec to production, rollout and on-call.Why "product engineer"?
Before FINN I worked on gRPC microservices at JumpCloud and JOIN, and before that I built cloud systems on AWS at Presentail in Beirut. Outside work I'm a car nerd, I run on coffee, and I spend my spare time building tools that make agents better colleagues.
Agents write a lot of code.
I own the result.
Plan first
I draft PRDs and technical specs with agents, then refine them and sign them off myself before any code is written.
Orchestrate
A conductor agent runs parallel sessions through a graph of dependent tickets. I direct the work and own the outcome.
Review hard
I review every change thoroughly before it merges. If it isn't production-ready, it doesn't ship.
Firefight fast
Agents dig through logs, trace the bug and draft a fix, so incidents get closed sooner.

Product Engineer @ FINN
Aug 2022 – nowOperations · Move team · Munich
- Own the backend platform for vehicle delivery and logistics, built on TypeScript and AWS serverless.
- Designed and shipped vehicle moves between sites and condition-based routing of returned cars. These automated workflows replaced manual coordination. (Yes, that's the game below.)
- Redesigned the capacity planning model for physical sites. It ended booking conflicts and the rework they caused downstream.
- Led multi-site consolidation and data migrations, and retired legacy infrastructure without disrupting live operations.
- Built ops tooling and centralized observability across serverless services, cutting MTTR for critical incidents by 50%.
- Moved core data and workflows from a no-code platform to Postgres, improving query performance and data integrity by 30%.
- Drove the team's early adoption of agentic AI workflows. I built agent tooling and MCP integrations that automate incident triage and recurring firefighting.

Backend Developer (Contract) @ JumpCloud
Jun – Aug 2022Denver, USA · Remote
- Built CI/CD pipelines for microservices, so releases were faster, more reliable and needed less manual work.
- Led the switch from RabbitMQ to gRPC as the main protocol between services, which cut message processing times.
- Guided the migration of legacy backend services to a modern schema and structure.

Backend Developer @ JOIN
Jan – Jun 2022Berlin, Germany · Remote
- Built and deployed secure, scalable backend APIs in Node.js.
- Integrated gRPC services into the wider product, working closely with the frontend and backend teams.
- Wrote unit and integration tests for the gRPC services.

Software Engineer @ Presentail
Aug 2020 – Jan 2022Beirut, Lebanon
- Designed and built cloud applications on AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway), raising system operating efficiency 7.4×.
- Built MySQL-backed microservices and tuned them for high volume using performance testing tools.
- Improved overall throughput by 30% with caching and database optimization.

Can you do my job?
My day on the tech side of operations, squeezed into 15 seconds. Ops sends bugs, feature requests, ideas and the odd incident. Plan, let the agents build, review everything, ship. The agents run in parallel. Review doesn't: that part is me.
Things I build for fun.
hub C#
A single tray app for your gaming mouse, headset and audio channels, with its own audio engine. It replaces Synapse, G HUB and Sonar.
claude-workstreams Shell
Git-backed context for Claude Code that persists between sessions: workstreams, sourced facts, dated decisions and safe parallel sessions.
conductor Shell
An orchestrator agent that runs parallel coding-agent sessions through a graph of dependent tickets.

Why I call myself a product engineer now
Agentic workflows moved the bottleneck from typing code to making decisions. That lets one engineer own a product end to end instead of a slice of it.
Hello, world (with a game this time)
Why my personal site has a hype slider, a ticket-shipping game and a terminal, and what I plan to write about here.
Let's talk.
Backend architecture, logistics systems, building with agents, or just cars. Email is the fastest way to reach me.
